Softball Recap: Oakland Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lutheran Northwest

Oakland Christian extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 4-9 in the process. They put the hurt on the Lutheran Northwest Crusaders with a sharp 24-16 win. The Lancers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Lutheran Northwest, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-7. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (13), they still had to take the loss.

For Lutheran Northwest's part, Alyssa Parets made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and five runs. With that strong performance, Parets is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Conners, who went 4-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakland Christian will challenge Mott at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lutheran Northwest, they will venture away from home to challenge Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
