Volleyball Recap: St. George's Takes a Loss

If St. George was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Central Fellowship Christian Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Athletes came up short against the Covenant Academy Rams on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Athletes in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost six in a row.

St. George's took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-23.

St. George's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Covenant Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, St. George's will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Christian School of Griffin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covenant Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Rock Springs Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
