Preview: Roy Royals vs. Woods Cross Wildcats
The Roy Royals will head out on the road to challenge the Woods Cross Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Roy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
Even though Clearfield scored an imposing 64 points, Roy still came out on top. Roy took their contest against Clearfield 74-64.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bronson Belnap, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Isaac Burnett, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Woods Cross pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-60 to Viewmont.
Roy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Woods Cross, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-5 record last season and are now at 2-11.
Roy came up short against Woods Cross in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, falling 58-47. Can Roy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
