Basketball Recap: Silver Bluff Takes a Loss

Silver Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Keenan Raiders, falling 62-14. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Raiders are ranked 45th).

Kaylynn Walker was Silver Bluff's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Keenan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tiana Randall, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Randall a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Taelor Lee-Sutton, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 16 points and six steals.

Silver Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Keenan, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Coincidentally, Silver Bluff and Keenan will both be playing Fox Creek the next time they take the court. Keenan will head out to face Fox Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Silver Bluff will host them at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th.
