Basketball Recap: Tri-Valley Gets the Win

After losing to Marian Catholic the last time they met, Tri-Valley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tri-Valley Bulldogs walked away with a 71-59 victory over Marian Catholic on Tuesday.

Several Marian Catholic players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob De La Cruz, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. Those six boards gave De La Cruz a new career-high. James Cannon also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.

Tri-Valley's record now sits at 13-4. As for Marian Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Tri-Valley will face off against Schuylkill Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marian Catholic, they will challenge Williams Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
