Football Recap: Appleton West Takes a Loss

If Appleton West was feeling good fresh off their 38-0 takedown of Green Bay Southwest last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Terrors took a hard 34-16 fall against the Green Bay Preble Hornets on Friday. The Terrors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Appleton West has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Green Bay Preble, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Appleton West will face off against Pulaski at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Green Bay Preble, they will challenge Green Bay Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will be up against the Fighting Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
