Clarksville is 1-9 against Salem since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Generals will face off against the Lions at 5:30 p.m. Clarksville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
While Clarksville's win against South Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Generals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Rebels on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Generals.

Aaliyah Watts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Tiarra Lewis was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Salem waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Braves as they made off with a 15-5 win. The Lions not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10th (when they won 16-1).
Adison Feist made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits. Feist was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Salem let Rachel Little and Kenadie Garloch run wild. Little got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Garloch got on base in two of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave Little a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Karissa Hardy, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Salem always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Borden only posted an OBP of .286.
Clarksville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Salem, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Clarksville has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Salem struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Clarksville might still be hurting after the 10-4 defeat they got from Salem in their previous matchup on May 1st. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
