Soccer Game Preview: Oakton vs. Westfield

The Oakton Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Westfield Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Friday just wasn't the day for Oakton's offense. They fell just short of South Lakes by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Oakton fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against South Lakes since Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westfield). They won by a goal and slipped past Centreville 5-4. The victory continues a trend for Westfield in their matchups with Centreville: they've now won three in a row.

Oakton's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Westfield, their record now sits at 6-4-1.
