Volleyball Game Preview: Adena Warriors vs. New Lexington Panthers

The Adena Warriors will square off against the New Lexington Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Adena sitting on eight straight victories and New Lexington on 11.

Adena is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Union Local by a score of 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-17, 22-25, 25-16.

Meanwhile, New Lexington was able to grind out a solid win over Wheelersburg on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

The victory didn't come easy: Wheelersburg scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 25-20.

New Lexington's win bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Adena, their victory bumped their record up to 25-1.

Everything went Adena's way against New Lexington when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Adena made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
