Jonesboro and Paragould are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Hurricane will challenge the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Jonesboro and three for Paragould.

Jonesboro lost 11-1 to Conway on Thursday.

Jonesboro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Sloan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Sloan's first of the season.

Marion hit Paragould with a six-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 9-7.

Paragould's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Jonesboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
