Baseball Recap: Mount Michael Benedictine Victorious

Mount Michael Benedictine lost to Wahoo/Bishop Neumann back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Warriors 5-3.

Kyle Oldehoeft spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ben Alessandro, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Mount Michael Benedictine's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Wahoo/Bishop Neumann, they moved to 3-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
