Basketball Recap: Aurora Central Starts Season with Win Against Regis Groff + How To Watch

Aurora Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They claimed a resounding 49-22 win over the Regis Groff Fusion. The Trojans not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 6th (when they won 50-23).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aurora Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andena Torres, who posted eight points along with nine rebounds and six steals. That's the most boards Torres has posted since back in January. Jamaea Johnson-Gonzalez was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

Coming up, Aurora Central will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against DSST: Montview at 6:00 p.m. As for Regis Groff, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Mary's Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
