Basketball Recap: Nation Ford Takes a Loss

Nation Ford lost against Clover back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Nation Ford Falcons fell 59-47 to the Clover Blue Eagles.

When it comes to explaining why Nation Ford lost, don't look at Chase Walters. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-17 to rack up 20 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave Walters a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Chuttey, who posted 14 points and five boards.

J'Shon Watson had a dynamite game for Clover, going 9-for-17 on his way to 23 points and four steals. Rico Hickman was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Nation Ford dropped their record down to 11-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Clover, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.

Looking ahead, Nation Ford will face off against Fort Mill at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Mill will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Nation Ford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clover, they will square off against Catawba Ridge at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Clover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season.
