Basketball Recap: Eureka Comes Up Short

The Eureka Tornadoes took a blow against the Garden Plain Owls on Tuesday, falling 61-31. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Owls are ranked 150th).

Eureka has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Garden Plain, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-9-1 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eureka will host El Dorado at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Garden Plain, they will be playing at home against Kingman on Friday.
