Baseball Game Preview: Blountstown Tigers vs. Maclay Marauders

The Blountstown Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Maclay Marauders at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Blountstown needed a bit of extra time to put away Miller County. They walked away with a 13-8 win over the Pirates.

Isaac Roberts was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-6. Cole Watson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5.

Meanwhile, Maclay put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over Chiles.

Maclay's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ben Wagnon, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Maclay pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs over those games. As for Blountstown, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
