Soccer Recap: DeSoto Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for DeSoto after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Oak Hawks. If DeSoto were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to Red Oak when the teams met back in January of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for DeSoto and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Red Oak, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-0-2.

DeSoto didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-1 loss against Corsicana on the 13th. As for Red Oak, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Forney on the 13th.
