Softball Recap: La Quinta Aztecs vs. Loara Saxons
La Quinta's last matchup with Loara could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Aztecs lost 18-12 to the Saxons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Saxons this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-5 defeat back in April.
Kailey Huynh and Raellie Faatuga stepped up to the plate in a big way. Huynh went 4-for-5 with five runs and one RBI, while Faatuga went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Ella Magga was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBI.
La Quinta dropped their record down to 7-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Loara, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.
As of now, neither La Quinta nor the Saxons have any future games scheduled.
