Football Recap: Somers Takes a Loss

Somers kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the Iona Prep Gaels, falling 37-7.

Iona Prep had a senior duo take command as Julian Guzman threw for 223 yards and four TDs and Crew Davis gained 171 total yards and a touchdown.

Somers didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-7 loss against Rye on the 12th. As for Iona Prep, they have also already played their next contest, a 58-48 win against Paramus Catholic on the 12th.
