Volleyball Recap: James Irwin's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

James Irwin lost against Thomas MacLaren School last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jaguars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlanders.

While Thomas MacLaren School got the win, James Irwin sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 28-26, 23-25, 25-21.

Carlos Rodriguez paced James Irwin's offense, picking up eight kills. Rodriguez got some help from Vincent Pascua and his 15 assists. Finally, Harris Khan kept James Irwin's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

James Irwin's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-14. As for Thomas MacLaren School, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

As of now, neither James Irwin nor the Highlanders have any future games scheduled.
