Baseball Recap: St. Michael Comes Up Short

St. Michael was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Valley Pirates, falling 11-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 20-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

St. Michael's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for another result: the Pirates was given a win via forfeit against St. Michael later that day.
