Basketball Recap: Our Lady of Lourdes Comes Up Short

Our Lady of Lourdes has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 93-83 to the La Salle Institute Cadets on Sunday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cadets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Our Lady of Lourdes' defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for La Salle Institute, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Our Lady of Lourdes will square off against Spackenkill at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for La Salle Institute, they will take on Hudson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Hudson has won five straight at home, while La Salle Institute won six straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
