Basketball Recap: Dodgeville Comes Up Short

Dodgeville lost against Prairie du Chien back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dodgeville Dodgers lost 59-39 to the Prairie du Chien Blackhawks. While losing is never fun, the Dodgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 42nd).

Dodgeville has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-21 record this season. As for Prairie du Chien, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.

While Dodgeville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
