Soccer Recap: Shore Regional's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

The Shore Regional Blue Devils beat the New Egypt Warriors 3-1 on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Shore Regional's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 134th, while New Egypt are ranked 314th).

The victory made it two in a row for Shore Regional and bumps their season record up to 7-4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matches. As for New Egypt, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Coincidentally, Shore Regional and New Egypt will both be playing Asbury Park the next time they take the pitch. The Warriors will host the Bishops at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Blue Devils will host them on Monday.
