Volleyball Recap: Grayslake North Takes a Loss

Grayslake North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Rockford Auburn. Grayslake North was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rockford Auburn apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Emmanuel Hernandez paced Grayslake North's offense, picking up six kills. Hernandez got some help from Noah Sanzana and his eight assists. Hernandez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Grayslake North's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Rockford Auburn, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-9.

Grayslake North has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Rich Township on the 26th. As for Rockford Auburn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Highland Park on the 26th.
