Volleyball Recap: John Battle Starts off Right with Win over Johnson County

John Battle had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Johnson County Longhorns with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2016.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 25-12.

John Battle was led to victory by Grace Carrier and Savannah Davis. Carrier had 31 assists and five digs, while Davis had 12 digs and three aces. Carrier is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.

This is the second loss in a row for Johnson County and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

John Battle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Eastside on the 26th. Johnson County has also already played their next contest (against Chuckey-Doak), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
