Soccer Game Preview: Athens vs. Chapel Hill

Athens hasn't had much luck against Chapel Hill recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Athens Hornets will look to defend their home pitch against the Chapel Hill Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Athens didn't have quite enough to beat Lindale and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Chapel Hill entered their tilt with Brownsboro on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over the Bears. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

Chapel Hill pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those five matches. As for Athens, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
