Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Takes a Loss

Notre Dame Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pulaski Red Raiders. The Tritons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Notre Dame Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Hadley Stenavich paced Notre Dame Academy's offense, picking up 20 kills. Stenavich got some help from Kailyn Kline and her 25 assists. Chayse Penzenstadler controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Notre Dame Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Pulaski, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-14 record this season.

Notre Dame Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Sun Prairie West on the 4th. As for Pulaski, they will challenge Green Bay Preble at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
