Baseball Game Preview: William Byrd Terriers vs. Cave Spring Knights

The William Byrd Terriers will challenge the Cave Spring Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, William Byrd didn't have quite enough to beat Magna Vista and fell 7-6. The Terriers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cave Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Salem.

Evan Lee made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Farwell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

William Byrd now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Cave Spring, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
