Football Game Preview: Century Jaguars vs. Newberg Tigers + How To Watch

The Century Jaguars will face off against the Newberg Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Century has given up an average of 28.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Century came up short against Reynolds on Friday, falling 40-15.

Even if they lost, Century's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Julian Morales was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making five total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newberg). They strolled past Sunset with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-40. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Century's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Newberg, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Century was dealt a bruising 42-12 defeat at the hands of Newberg in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Jaguars were down 29-6.
