Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Winnebago's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

Winnebago lost to Rosary back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Winnebago Indians put the hurt on the Rosary Royals with a sharp 54-28 win. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Royals are ranked 521st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Winnebago is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season. As for Rosary, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-24.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winnebago will host North Boone at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rosary, they will square off against Indian Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
