Baseball Recap: Quartz Hill Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Quartz Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Adelanto Saints by a score of 4-1 on Saturday.

Brody Larey looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Quartz Hill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Farrell, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Quartz Hill's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Adelanto, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quartz Hill will square off against Highland at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Adelanto, they will challenge Cajon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cajon will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Adelanto surely won't give up without a fight.
