Perry falls despite strong effort from Taryn Nehring

Recap: Perry Bluejays vs. Nevada Cubs
The Perry Bluejays lost against the Nevada Cubs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Perry ended up on the wrong side of a tough 47-24 walloping at the hands of Nevada. Perry has not had much luck with Nevada recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Perry still got an impressive performance from Taryn Nehring, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Perry's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Nevada, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry will take on Des Moines North at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Perry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Friday. As for Nevada, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bondurant-Farrar. Nevada has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
