Baseball Game Preview: Lansingburgh Knights vs. Cohoes Tigers

Lansingburgh is 2-7 against Cohoes since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Knights will take on the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Lansingburgh is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 5-1 to Troy. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly four runs.

Lansingburgh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Genevive, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Cohoes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, falling 11-3.

Cohoes now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Lansingburgh, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Lansingburgh might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Cohoes in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
