Carlin dropped their record down to 9-7 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 23-10 to the Wells Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Kayona Christensen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Caileigh Shilts was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

As for Wells, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 13 runs or more this season.

On Wells' side, Adriana Aguilar was a standout: she went 5-for-6 with four runs, three RBI, and one double. Those five hits gave Aguilar a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Stacia Hansen, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wells beat Carlin by a score of 22-3 later that day.
