Football Recap: Santa Clara Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Santa Clara lost against Woodside back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bruins took a blow against the Wildcats, falling 56-6. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 841st, while the Wildcats are ranked 405th).

This is the second loss in a row for Santa Clara and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Woodside, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Santa Clara and Woodside will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Bruins see the field they'll take on Los Altos at 7:00 p.m. on October 9. As for Woodside, their break will end when they face Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on October 9.
