Basketball Recap: Putnam County Takes a Loss

Putnam County was the 73-69 winner over Schuyler County when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Putnam County Midgets fell 80-71 to the Schuyler County Rams on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (57), the Midgets still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Putnam County and nudges their season record down to 11-11. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Schuyler County, their victory bumped their record up to 18-11.

Coming up, Putnam County will face off against Novinger at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Schuyler County has already played their next matchup (against Salisbury), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
