The Heritage Timberwolves will venture away from home to square off against the Prairie Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Prairie came out on top against La Center on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run sixth inning. The Falcons put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 18-6 win. Considering the Falcons have won four games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Mackenzie Moore was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Payton Blunt, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Kayla Scholl was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Prairie lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Prairie pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Heritage hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Prairie struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Heritage came up short against Prairie when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 6-1. Can the Timberwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
