Softball Preview: J.R. Tucker Tigers vs. Godwin Eagles

J.R. Tucker fell victim to Deep Run and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 13-0 to the Wildcats. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Godwin put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 5-1 win over Atlee.
Katelyn Hubley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
