Volleyball Game Preview: Fairmont Prep Huskies vs. Liberty Christian Minutemen

After both having extra time off, the Fairmont Prep Huskies and the Liberty Christian Minutemen will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fairmont Prep is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Fairmont Prep had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Santiago last Thursday. The Huskies were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cavaliers.

Meanwhile, Liberty Christian hadn't done well against Avalon recently (they were 0-7-1 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Saturday. The Minutemen walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lancers.

Fairmont Prep's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Liberty Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Fairmont Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty Christian when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Minutemen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
