Baseball Recap: Oasis Victorious

Oasis let Immokalee stack four runs on them in the fourth inning on Thursday but luckily Oasis prevailed anyway. The Sharks won by a run and slipped past the Indians 5-4. The Sharks haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kenay Velazquez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daniel Merry, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

The win got Oasis back to even at 1-1. As for Immokalee, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oasis will host Southwest Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Immokalee, they will face off against Donahue Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
