Preview: Edmund Burke Academy Spartans vs. Glascock County Panthers
Edmund Burke Academy is 3-0 against Glascock County since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Edmund Burke Academy Spartans will be home for the holidays to greet the Glascock County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Edmund Burke Academy and nine for Glascock County dating back to last season.
Last Monday, Edmund Burke Academy came up short against David Emanuel Academy and fell 54-41.
Despite their defeat, Edmund Burke Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Braydon Tindell, who scored ten points along with six steals and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tindell has scored all season. Mark Wasden was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Glascock County took a serious blow against Jefferson County on Friday, falling 77-20.
Edmund Burke Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Glascock County, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4.
Edmund Burke Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Glascock County in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory.
