Pekin waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 61-50 win over the Lone Tree Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-46 back in December of 2024.

Pekin has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Lone Tree, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pekin will venture away from home to face off against Hillcrest Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Pekin surely won't give up without a fight. Lone Tree has already played their next game (against English Valleys), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
