Academy for College and Career Exploration has been on the road for seven straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Forest Park Foresters at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy for College and Career Exploration comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 13 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Academy for College and Career Exploration had to suffer through a rough 51-11 loss at the hands of Patterson. While losing is never fun, Academy for College and Career Exploration can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Patterson is ranked 131st).
Meanwhile, Forest Park put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Lewis, posting a 81-0 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Forest Park who now have seven in a row.
Forest Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chaniya Taylor led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. NaJae Malik-El was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Academy for College and Career Exploration's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Forest Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.
Academy for College and Career Exploration was dealt a bruising 93-17 defeat at the hands of Forest Park when the teams last played back in January of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Academy for College and Career Exploration was down 70-8.
