Basketball Recap: Trimble Find Success

Trimble proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 32) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-34 victory over the Alexander Spartans. For the Tomcats, this counts as revenge for the 36-30 win the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Alexander lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lily Ryder, who posted 15 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was McKenna Moore, who had six points and eight boards.

Trimble is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Alexander, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Trimble didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-41 loss against Belpre on the 30th. As for Alexander, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-49 victory against Athens on the 30th.
