Soccer Game Preview: North Brunswick vs. Hoggard

North Brunswick hasn't had much luck against Hoggard recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Scorpions are taking a road trip to face off against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m.

North Brunswick lost 7-1 to Ashley on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, North Brunswick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while Ashley are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Hoggard waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They walked away with a 4-2 win over the Pirates. James Mclean was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

North Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 7-14-1. As for Hoggard, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1-1.

North Brunswick might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from Hoggard in their previous matchup on October 2nd. Can the Scorpions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
