Football Recap: Purcell Marian Takes a Loss

If Purcell Marian was feeling good fresh off their 49-8 takedown of New Miami last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cavaliers were beaten by the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Eagles 42-12 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Eagles are ranked 175th).

Purcell Marian dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Purcell Marian will face off against rival Summit Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Roger Bacon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
