Recap: Macks Creek Pirates vs. Weaubleau Tigers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Macks Creek Pirates gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 72-27 win over Weaubleau. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-13.
It was another big night for India Willis, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 19 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Seaholm, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Macks Creek's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.8 points. As for Weaubleau, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
Macks Creek will square off against Lakeland at TBD on Monday. Lakeland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 456th, while Macks Creek is ranked 76th). As for Weaubleau, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Northeast Vernon County at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th.
