Baseball Recap: Grasso Tech Triumphs

Grasso Tech won the last time they faced Windham RVT and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles walked away with a 7-3 win over the Mighty Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Daniel Lindy and Carmine Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Lindy scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Rodriguez scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Rodriguez is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerry Santiago, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

The victory got Grasso Tech back to even at 2-2. As for Windham RVT, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Grasso Tech will face off against Platt RVT at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Windham RVT, they will venture away from home to challenge Lyman Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mighty Tigers are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
