Recap: McCutcheon Mavericks vs. Benton Central Bison
The McCutcheon Mavericks lost against the Benton Central Bison back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. McCutcheon fell 65-52 to Benton Central.
Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Raeke, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Raeke has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brody Baker, who scored 12 points.
McCutcheon's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-11. As for Benton Central, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCutcheon will take on Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Benton Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Frankfort is ranked 220th, while Benton Central is ranked 241st).
