Basketball Recap: Springfield Gardens Takes a Loss

Springfield Gardens lost against Cardozo back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Springfield Gardens Golden Eagles fell 51-40 to the Cardozo Judges. The game marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Springfield Gardens has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Cardozo, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield Gardens will square off against Francis Lewis at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cardozo, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Edison has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 215 points over their last three matchups.
